quilt blocks- new idea

Hello again, Im excited to have met so many nice gals in the chat room this weekend and we all had a great time. You have inspired me to become more involved and not be afraid to ask questions.

How about premade quilt blocks. Different sizes, easy redwork and simple primitive designs- crows, pumpkins, little annies. Check out my website under embroidery designs and see what Im talking about. I could make sets of 2-4-6-8-10......etc.... I would sell them for a reasonable price- example 6.5 x 6.5 one color design- maybe 2.50 or 3.00 ea or cheaper if you purchase by the set, maybe 1$ off. then you can incorporate those into your own creations to sell? Just an idea and Im sure I have many more to come.

Charlene was is redwork? I know virtually nothing about quilting..I bought my first quilting book last summer - begginner supplies but didn't get too far. As I've shared before, I'm a visual learner and have a hard time reading, reading and reading and applying..If I can watch someone do something once, twice, three times..I'm good to go..

So I hate to ask you this..but for us novices..can you explain what exactly - quilting boxs are and redwork.

OK, these would be just blocks of fabric- mostly muslin type your choice tea stained/scented or natural, or onsaburg. They would be precut quilt blocks with machine embroidered designs. I can do different sizes as I have 3 sizes of embroidery hoops for my machine. smallest would be about 6x6 block. Redwork is simply one color designs, like the kitchen faires I posted on the flour sacks. I have many other simple primitive designs and can make my own sayings. LIVE WELL-example, then you use this to either frame, make a pillow, wall hanging table runner, doll clothes,,,you get the picture??

I use redwork as a color, they can be sewn in any color you choose.
