Satisfied Soul
In God’s presence, I know true satisfaction of my soul.
I may long to experience more fulfillment in life but have no idea of what will satisfy that longing. What do I do? I nourish my soul by giving my attention and time to focusing on God’s presence. The more I am aware of God, the more satisfaction of the soul and fulfillment in life I experience.
Instead of continually thinking of what I need or want, I give thanks for what I have already been given: life and, with that life, the ability to think and plan and act from divine inspiration.
Acting on my thoughts and plans, I enjoy a satisfaction of the soul that permeates every aspect of my life. I feel a profound spiritual joy that encourages me to view everyone and everything with heartfelt gratitude.
My soul is satisfied as with a rich feast, and my mouth praises you with joyful lips.”—Psalm 63:5
