Hi girls,
I have an opporunity to advertise in a couple of local publications. The publications themselves are free - one is mailed to all of the homes in our community, the other is distributed at various locations throughout the community, like the grocery stores and local mom and pop shops - the ads however aren't free but very reasonable, with my budget. My question to you all is....have you done offline advertising and did you find it effective? These aren't crafty publications, mostly general information with lots of different services in them.
TIA

I was JUST looking into something like this in our area...as a matter of fact..I had on my to-do list for next week to call and see what the fees were to advertise.
I wish I had an answer for you...my thought would be it doesn't hurt to try it..right? you just never know sometimes until you take that leap...
Thanks for asking..maybe someone will have some more helpful information...

I have done some local advertising. One was on a Maine website and the other with a local newsletter.
I don't think I ever got any sales from it, but I would do it again.
ANY advertisement is better than no advertising!
just my opinion, I could be wrong.....

If it's well within your budget go for it! I did one here at a local mall...still waiting on results, but who knows? It's all exposure and that can't be bad!!
